You will be able to edit your post once it has been published. Navigate to your post and an Edit command will appear in the menu bar. After editing, choose Update to publish the changes.
You can comment on posts and comment on comments, etc. This helps readers to follow which comment is on what. Please stay on-topic. If you have something else to say, make it a new post. Authors of posts can edit comments on their posts, which can be useful to keep them tidy and focussed. Use carefully!
A post endures. If what you have to say is more of a non-enduring message you might prefer to communicate by email. You can send an email to all members through the Subscribe2 menu here. You can choose whether to send to everybody (all users) or just to those who have subscribed to be notified of new postings (subscribers). You can also email an individual member via their email address which is available on the Members List page.
